Comprehensive Lifesaving Courses Essential For All Teachers from Swindon,

The STA Safety Award for Teachers qualification is designed to train anyone who teaches in a swimming pool or leisure centre. I am based in Swindon, Wiltshire, and specialise in providing comprehensive lifesaving courses as part of essential swimming pool safety.

This basic lifesaving award is suitable for anyone aged 14 years or older who may teach:

• Swimming
• Snorkelling
• Aqua-Aerobics

The course requires 6 hours of contact time with 2 hours of pool work, and can be carried out in 1 block or split into 2 or 3.

Holders of the Safety Award for Teachers are capable in:

• Pool Rescue 
• First Aid
• Adult, Child, and Infant CPR Techniques

Holders will be competent enough to deal with poolside emergencies in accordance with the HSE publication ‘Managing Health and Safety in Swimming Pools’ and British Standard BS EN 15288 Part 2, Safety Requirements for Operations.

As a highly qualified sports and education consultant, I can also deliver UK Coaching workshops.
